Cholesterol is a something we worry about from about age 30 and on. About a third of Americans have high cholesterol. Not all of them know that l-arginine can naturally lower cholesterol if they take it daily.

L-Arginine Can Naturally Lower Cholesterol

Cholesterol Overview

First off, there are two types of cholesterol: LDL cholesterol, which is bad and unhealthy, and HDL cholesterol, which is good and healthy for your blood. There’s a lot of misconception about how all cholesterol is bad.

HDL cholesterol actually helps to fight and prevent LDL cholesterol, stopping it from building up on your blood vessel walls and causing high blood pressure or heart disease. LDL cholesterol enters the system from eating a poor diet, not exercising, smoking, and being overweight.

Unfortunately, some people are genetically prone to high cholesterol and can have a harder time lowering it. Additionally, certain races and ethnicities tend to have higher cholesterol levels. White and black males generally have lower cholesterol levels than Mexican American men.

HDL levels can increase by eating healthy foods, getting regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight. L-arginine can naturally lower cholesterol as well.

Cholesterol and L-Arginine

While there isn’t much research done on cholesterol and l-arginine, there are results that show l-arginine can decrease LDL cholesterol by up to 7% and triglycerides by up to 6%. Triglyceride is another type of cholesterol that is harmful to your heart.

L-Arginine also helped to increase HDL levels by up to 9%. L-Arginine is an amino acid that is the precursor to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide (NO) helps to loosen blood vessels and promote a healthy blood flow.

The Clinical Pharmacology and Department of Cardiology and Pathology in Hannover, Germany conducted an l-arginine animal test. It found that “L-arginine improves NO-dependent vasodilator function in cholesterol-fed rabbits and completely blocks the progression of plaques via restoration of NO synthase substrate availability and reduction of vascular oxidative stress.”

While these tests were on animals, the scientists are optimistic that the results can be seen in humans as well.

Products like L-Arginine Plus are incredibly effective in naturally boosting NO production. It’s also an inexpensive option to use to keep your cholesterol levels down.

Instead of waiting until it’s too late, start taking L-Arginine Plus now to prevent any potential health issues related to cholesterol. L-Arginine Plus is safe and has many other benefits including lower blood pressure and quicker recovery time.
